Ocean Beach is a locally popular beach in Hastings District. Many enjoy Ocean Beach as a seaside recreational beach. The long wide strip of coast of golden sand is bare and does not have its own shops. The water has a strong rip current and usually has large strong waves, making it a popular destination for surfers.
