The images in this gallery were taken at Silver Salmon Creek Lodge, a delightful lodge in Lake Clark National Park on the North shore of Cook Inlet (opposite the Kenai Peninsula). Mostly you will find bears, but also some shots of Bald Eagles and other birds, and a few landscapes to give some flavor of the area. The images are in sub-galleries based on particular bears or behaviors. This was a magical trip for me, with beautiful wilderness, wildlife, and the bears. It was magical to be able to get so near, to be able to watch and photograph, these magnificent animals. I hope these photos give you some sense of that magic.
