After our guests leave, we put a blanket in the front yard to watch the Persied meteor shower. I did manage to catch one in this shot on the upper right. The house, and Martha in the foreground I "painted" with a small flashlight during the exposure. Lasqueti is a great place to view stars. There is no power on Lasqueti, no street or yard lights. On a clear moonless night like this, the milky way is splashed accross the sky. This photo is not manipulated. 11 second exposure, f2.8, Iso 1600, Canon Rebel XS Sigma 18-50 lens.
