Ironically, I seem to be discovering B&W for the first time with the most sophisticated camera I have yet used. I had shied away and planned to change photos later- but wanting to get in the mood, and with the instant feedback that the D300 LCD gives, it seems to be time to explore this world.

Update 12/04/08- Now including photos of Asakusa, variously in colour, black and white and sepia, which seems to me to capture the downtown atmosphere there the most. this is a journey to the heart of old Edo- 'Chita Machi'- a part of Tokyo that has managed to resist the lure of the high-rise and keep it's character over the years.
