Fraser Lk Museum.jpg

Fraser Lake, B.C.

The homestead of the first European woman to move to the area in 1902, Louisa LeDuke,
who referred to it as the "honeymoon suite". The only trouble was that fireweed
grew up through the floor boards !!

This is my grand parents house.First saw it in 1966 when it was being used as a hay barn.My dad told me many stories about growing up in the area, and his mom and dad.So glad to see it restored.Had the opportunity to show to my kids a few years ago what a thrill!

The angles and lines create a mathematical order of clean precision, yet adorned with a hovering blue sky and clumps of wildflowers about the museum, the image has homeyness. Excellent composition. V

In 1902 this must have been a luxury honeymoon suite. Great historic shot. V

Nicely maintained. She was courageous to be the first.

Good perspective and light for this historic building, which looks to be nicely preserved. Not so sure it would be pleasant with things growing through the floorboards, though! V.
