Dunraven Bay, October 2007

Dunraven Bay is situated on the Heritage Coast of Glamorgan in South Wales, UK. The limestone beds are littered with rocks washed onto the shore by a tsunami which hit the Bristol Channel in the 16th century. Sedimentary cliffs reflect the setting sun bringing out intense colours. Because of the tidal conditions in the Bristol Channel the beach is never the same no matter how many times you visit, rocks appear and disappear as the sand rises and falls with the strength of the sea.
