Great manipulation of the (dreaded and unforgiven) luminosity curve -- your craftmanship shows.

Excellent composition, and control of dynamic range (translating the limits of photographic dynamic range -- into human perception), as well as good B&W technique.

I don't know why, but it seems that translating cold, gray scale, into warmer tones, seems to increase the perception of dynamic range.
