Note: I charted and stitched this project in 1997. At the time I was
stitching on linen, but had not made the conversion from DMC cotton to silk.
If I had just stitched this project, I would have used a 40 count
Lakeside Linen over 2 and silk (Needlepoint Inc, Ver a Soie 100/3 or
Crescent Colours) instead of the DMC cotton. I hope when you do this
project you will use linen and silk. I don't know how many skeins
of DMC it will take for this project but since there are no dye lots,
I wouldn't be concerned. I have included the stitch count so you will
be able to convert to your favorite silk.
