Lunar Eclipse

Pictures with Olympus C2100UZi Digital Camera and TCON17 tele auxiliary lens.
These exposures are selected from 99 images.
The camera autofocus had difficulty because of the dimness of the subject,
and I find it difficult to acheive the best focus manually.
The maximum aperture of f3.5 was used for all exposures. ISO 100

Sorry I haven't been checking the forums.

The images of the moon were with the camera alone. The sun (sunspot) images are with the Olympus C2100UZi, an Olympus TCON17 1.7X Tele Auxiliary lens and a solar filter.

If you are suggesting that a higher ISO should be used for the moon, no the moon is bright. You can see it in the daytime sky if the haze and clouds let you. If it is that ISO50 was available with an FZ10, I have no excuse, and don't know how it happened!

For things like eclipses, using a wide range of exposures in a lot of shots is advisable. With a digital camera, the second and all following shots are free. It's the first one that costs hundreds or thousands of dollars.

I enjoyed your sun and moon photos. I'm too new at this to ask the right questions, but did you take these with just your camera and an attached lens vs mounting your camera to a telescope? What was your reasoning for taking all the moon shots in ISO 100?
I did get a series of lunar eclipse shots, but it was I was flying by the seat of my pants. I wouldn't even try sun shots without expert advice and proper equipment though it's a fascinating specialty.
