The Horta Museum is a museum dedicated to the life and work of the Belgian Art Nouveau architect Victor Horta and his time.
The museum is housed in Horta's former house and atelier, Maison & Atelier Horta (1898), in the Brussels municipality of Saint-Gilles.
In the splendid Art Nouveau interiors there is a permanent display of furniture, utensils and art objects designed by Horta and his
contemporaries as well as documents related to his life and time. The museum also organises temporary exhibitions on topics related
to Horta and his art. The building is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.(source: Wikipedia)

In de woning en het atelier van Victor Horta (Amerikaansestraat 25, Sint-Gillis, Brussel) bevindt zich het Hortamuseum. Samen met drie
andere art-nouveauhuizen van Horta, behoort het tot de werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO. Deze twee gebouwen werden gebouwd
tussen 1898 en 1901.Vooral de plattegrond en het vernieuwend ruimteconcept van het huis waren baanbrekend : de kamers geven
uit op het met een glazen lichtkoepel bekroonde trappenhuis, waardoor de lichtinval sterk wordt bevorderd.(Bron: Wikipedia)
