Bernie, thanks so much for the very kind words!

About Beaverhills Lake, it's not normal for it to dry out in the fall, but it did about 4 years ago & it's been very dry this summer & fall & it's dried out again. We're going to need an awful lot of moisture for this once fantastic birding location to recover.

You're right, I should add some commentary to some of the photos, but as you say it's very time consuming capturing the images & then all the work processing them, makes me want to run from the computer screaming!

Thanks again,
Gerald

As per usual, I always enjoy you images, but rarely comment, in most cases they would all say the same thing..."Superp!" Just had to leave a comment for this one This little guy with the overfilled mouth is just the cutest and the super-slim depth of field isolates the focal point so nicely. Your focus plane could not have been any better.

On a sad note, although I liked your recent Beaverhills Lake shots, I have to say I am saddened that it is in the state it is. I am a beginner bird-photog (getting better slowly), and it was on my list of fairly local areas to see to find new birds...looks like I may have to cross it off my list for now. Does it normally do this in the fall?

Anyway, keep up the awesome work, your site is not only a wonder to see each time, but very educational as well. My only wish is that you would add a brief comment or background on some of your pics, such as general location or other pertinent info, but I realize that you already must put in a just a ton of time to shoot, process and upload.

Thanks so much for sharing your efforts with us...Happy shooting Gerald!
