Geordie Gallery is 3 years old now! Viewship has been pathetic for the past 2 years but nevertheless i'm still gona extend the pbase subscription just so that my photography memories can be added upon. My very own website is currently in the pipeline and its name has yet been found. Currently some suggestions given were: www.a-moment-to-remember.com, www.past.present.collections.com... Does any of you out there have a name in mind for me?

Moving forward, this pbase site shall be my blog and more "smile and pose" kinda pics will be posted instead of the usual scenries and non-living thing pics (someone complained not enough face pics!)

Singaporeans are usually at their very best when complaining about government agencies, for e.g. Agency XXX implementing new gantries, Agency YYY making us fill up tax forms... It is time we give credit and recognition to a govt statutory board which is non-profit and has been making Singapore a much more beautiful place since like duno when - this agency is National Parks (NParks).

The Singapore Southern Ridges was NParks' latest contribution to our garden city - see http://www.nparks.gov.sg/southernridges.html
It links up a chain of hills and gardens in the southern area, creating walkways that enable us to walk on treetops, slack, take pictures, do nothing and so on... wow... I think the Singapore Southern Ridges is better than the Central Park in New York City!

The GSR 8 gang started the excursion at the Alexandra Arch and ended at the Marang Trail, opposite Vivocity (see http://www.nparks.gov.sg/sr-map.pdf). Total distance covered was about 5km. I will recommend this route to those who dun wana shack themeselves out by walking the entire 9km of the SG Southern Ridges because 5km is REALLY enough... By the 3rd km of the walk, I'm already seeing images of mama-shop selling ice cold drinks & curry puffs in front of me!

The garden walk was followed by a meal of Carls Junior. Such high-carbo meal was needed not to replenish what we have exercised... but to prepare us for 8 hours of poker at LMJ house. HAHAHA, WOOT!
