One week ago, I was wondering why people would wana pay $18 for a ticket to watch the fireworks... since we can get to see it from other locations which is FOC. One week later, i was at the Marina Platform grandstand watching it! muhaha, thanks Augu for the free tics!
It wasn't easy tho... to bring along my camera n tripod and squeeze into the morning rush hour train. Straight after work was a team dinner (in a very cosy room in Waraku) which i only spent 15min in b4 heading off to shoot.
The Marina Platform grandstand was indeed a good position to watch the fireworks, but it wasnt a very perfect location to shoot fireworks as the CBD skyline wouldn't fall nicely behind the fireworks. Nevertheless, I managed to shoot fireworks at a new location again, woot! Kudos to Team France for creating a beautiful fusion of music and visual display.
One fact learned that is worthwhile documenting in Wikipedia - as compared to the Fireworks Festival organisers, the National Day Parade organisers (our beloved military...) simply do not have the ability to choreograph a nice fireworks display.
