A mountain near Superior, Arizona is 4,375 feet tall with a 2000 feet change in elevation from the trailhead. After getting above the valley floor, the trail is mostly rock scrambling and boulder hopping. I did not get to the top as my knee was acting up but the pictures go to 3500 feet.
where's the mailbox, george?
we hiked picketpost today and i figured i'd search pbase for another hiker's gallery -- you have some great images, but none of the famous mailbox at the top. did you see that on your hike? its worth going back if you missed it... particularly now because spring wildflowers are in bloom (firecracker penstemon, globemallow, deer vetch, evening primrose, red mint). paul btainfo@ag.arizona.edu
