Thanks Alan - it is quite a feat of engineering ... I have to say that our visit here helped to inspire us to by a boat on the canal - it's a great peaceful way to relax.

Great picture's of Pontycysyllte (pronounced pontkersulty) Aqueduct. My great grandfather worked as a lock keeper on that stretch and my grandmother was born in that area. She told of happy times there.
Hi Claire – thanks for stopping by and looking at the photos – I’m glad you like them.
The aquaduct in the pictures is about 3 miles East of Llangollen, if that helps you to identify it.
Good luck with the hunt for a course – I hope you get on one
Best wishes

Hello Geoff... I have really enjoyed looking at your photgraphs. I have a friend who lives in North Wales in Oswestry. I go to visit her alot and we often walk into the village over the Aqueduct. I wonder if your pictures are from the same one.(pontcysyllte pics) Its a wonderful view walking over. I also enjoyed your pictures of Liverpool and the Crosby Coast Line. I will let you know if I manage to get myself onto a course. Speak soon Clare Macdonald.
