these are pictures of an 80 km trek around the ausangate massif, the highest peak in the vilcanota range of southern peru at 6372m. the trek around ausangate took us five days, of which the first three had lots of clouds and some precipitation. finally, after a thunderous snow storm on the night of the third, we woke up to blue skies and sunshine, and ausangate itself.
