Welcome to Scott "Genghis" Wong's Street Photography. On the bottom on this page, you will find thumbnail links to my street photography which is my great passion---as well thumbnail links to a smaller collection of my nature photographs. Photography has been my most durable form of self-expression, ever since I bought my first single lens reflex camera in 1962. That camera was a Nikon F. I have since migrated to the digital side, as my photographic modality of choice are Nikon digital single lens reflex cameras. My tools have changed, but the sheer joy I experience from taking pictures has not.
Street photography is extremely rewarding. This discipline represents freedom of expression, and a releasing of the photographer's mind and eye. Consisting of one third concept, one third composition and one third fortuitous circumstance, street photography is at once a dichotomy of classic discipline and formless art. This is what makes street photography great, its openness to the personal interpretation of the photographer as artist. These galleries are a veritable celebration of the passion for taking street pictures. Getting out there almost daily and taking street pictures is something I've done with great enthusiasm. Every outing is an adventure. Enjoy my adventures, and venture out on your own as well.
