Amphibolurus burnsii

Warialda Rail, NSW Australia

A common dragon of the woodlands of the Brigalow Bioregion in NSW and Qld, sheltering under debris or in hollow logs during the
night and perching on fallen timber during the day. Species such as this depend on fallen timber and a shrub layer to avoid predation
by hawks, cats and foxes. Unfortunately, land clearing, unregulated grazing and firewood collection is impacting on this and other
woodland species in this region.
