Hey buddy..I haven't seen or heard from you in a while and just wanted to know what you are up to. I hope that all is well. I actually went into stalker mode and looked up our old comrades from Simon's Rock on MySpace but only Ben responded. I wonder what happend to everyone else...

My name is Gabriel J. Dillon. Never met someone with my exact name (except my dad). I've looked at your work and I think it's quite good: candid and journalistic. Capturing a moment is tough, after all it's only a moment. Wonder where you're from. Slightly related? I live in NYC own a restaurant. Just very curious. J=James?

Hi Gabe,

I'm a friend of Sarah W-R from Oberlin. She sent me a link to your site as I'm going to Iceland next month for fun and research...I'm a grad student in art history and am intending to study 20th and 21st-century Icelandic art. Your photos are beautiful! I would *love* to get any advice you might have for my upcoming trip (I visited Reykjavik in 2000, but it was in December, I was by myself, and I was broke, so all I did was wander around and look at all the art I could find). My email is sjones@umail.ucsb.edu. Drop me a note if you get a chance!

yours,
shauna

Hi Gabe,

Those pictures are very impressive. People have been talking about Iceland around me and saying it was gorgeous. I'm now convinced. Maybe I'll go sometime, although I have other projects for next year, including going to Florence and Rome this summer.

I'd love to hear from you so please write me a short email (jessicadillon@hotmail.fr).
**Jessica**

PS: I like the Eiffel Tower picture and the gates in Central Park as well. BRAVO

Enjoying your Iceland gallery. I was there myself for 5 weeks in 2004 (yeah, I've made a gallery of the trip). It's a beautiful country and you've done a good job of capturing that. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Gabe,

Saw the Lomo pictures from D's party a few weeks ago! So... after our conversation I was inspired. The day after the party I went online and looked Lomography up. I got my Lomo 2 days ago! I'll let you know how it goes :-D

Looking through your galleries, they're fantastic, really really great shots.

Viva La Revolution! No no no.... just kidding. Be well, Jessica

Great pics Gabriel. I was attracted by the Colombia gallery, expecting pictures from Cartagena. I was a bit dissapointed as there are no pics from Cartagena but I spent 1/2h enjoying your other galleries.

Saw your site on nerve; you have some great pictures here. I really enjoyed the european ones, and the picture a day is a great idea/goal/concept. Please keep adding!

Gab,
About the epson 2000p printer... I have had one for a while and just got flustered with it and set it aside,... I had a printer go down and was forced to bring it on line and I have found that even from epson most of thier papers say (good for all printers except epson 2000p)... I have been unhappy with the cost and output ... I am looking at the 2200 now but it looks as if it has a simular problem with paper selection (not quit as bad but simular) Let me know what you deside, as I have not obtained a 2200 yet.

Long time no speak/see.I'm no expert but I think your photos are absolutely gorgeous. Not that I would expect much less from you.Bravo.

Gabe: I enjoyed your photos very much. They showed tremendous progress from the ones you took in the beginning--much more dramatic, for example, the shots of the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. My favoritew are Windfarl composite and Sunlight Gaussian. I am looking forward to the next batch. Congratulations! Grandma

Hi Gabriel. Greetings from Connecticut.

I think you are doing very well as a beginner. I see a developing eye for good composition and would encourage you to keep shooting. A book that has been a help and inspiration for me is Derek Doeffinger's "The Art of Seeing". Not your typical how-to book but something that may help you.
