The rest of the world can take real measure in the resilience of the western Kansasn. These are strong willed individuals and if the rest of the world will just listen and watch they will learn the true meaning of what the word NEIGHBORS really means.

May God help you find the strength to rebuild and reestablish Greensburg. My 86-year-old grandmother is a survivor of the F-4 tornado that hit southeast Kansas on May 4, 2003. It wiped out the hub of our family farm. To say the least, it was devastating. But our family learned several things, most importantly: Treasures are not the things that you have accumulated over the years or what “gems” you can show others, because once all of those material things are gone, it is the memories that keep you going. THEY are your true treasures, and once you forget them, you are gone, too. God Bless! My heart goes out to you all.

Greensburg will rebuild with God's help and will be better than ever. Udall, KS was wiped off the map in the 50's and God stayed with them through it all just as He will Greensburg.
