Darra is near Peshawar in the NWFP, an old 'backyard' weapons manufacturing base since the British days of 18th century.... the entire village economy is still devoted to weapons reproduction. Foreigners are not permitted to enter the village but I got special dispensation and was given security protection by the local police force.
