From a trip during January/February 2006..... I was sent on assignment for the first week and took another 2 weeks off to see the central areas of Burma (Bagan, Mandalay and Inle). Also did a 3 day cruise upstream from Bagan to Mandalay and the balloon flight in Bagan.

Burma is a unique country - the absence of modernisation is also the preservation of an old world rustic charm that the country expresses. I was struck with the openness towards religion (other than Buddhism) and have given them the same representation.
