Emission nebulae in the Large Magellanic Cloud

Hakos/Namibia

The center of this image, which shows a part from the Large Magellanic Cloud ( a satellite galaxy of our Milky Way), is dominated by the 'Tarantula Nebula'( NGC 2070). It is a huge and extremely bright emission nebula, which is still visible to the unaided eye from a distance of 160000 light-years.
Many other nebulae and star clusters can be seen additionally.
