"Augsburger Baer"
This 5cm/2in. long night active butterfly is a rarity, which can only be found at a few isolated spots in southern Germany and Austria. It is at the edge of extinction, and I'm really happy I didn't step on this little guy, who decided to sleep in the middle of a ( rather remote) access road.
