IC1396 in Cepheus

IC1396 is a vast emission nebula, sixteen times the size of the full moon by covered area. Many dark molecular nebulae are embedded in it, incubators for newly born stars.
The 'Hubble palette' has been used to map the emission lines of SII, Ha and OIII to R:G:B.
