Ice Storms and more ice storms, Winter 2007

Around Des Moines. We had 4 weeks of snow, ice, then more snow and ice, but it is mostly making the season more festive. The zoo is a treat in the winter. The Des Moines River is open through town, we had a foggy gray day that made for a lovely kayak trip for a guy taking a week of vacation.
