Reunions and Fall colors in New England

It was a beautiful time of year to visit with family and friends in upstate NY and Old Saybrook CT.
We flew into Boston and drove through VT to visit my parents in Ticonderoga NY. It was dark by the time we got into VT. We did get to see beautiful fall colors the next 2 days.

The view of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mts was spectacular on Friday when we had breakfast with Mom and Dad at historic Ft. Ticonderoga. The weather was beautiful for our trip to Albany NY to see my sister, and for the several reunion events we had planned in CT.

We also spent time looking up ancestors, including a visit to the gravesites of my mother's family that goes back to the 1860's. We spent Sunday visiting rubber stamping stores for Margaret Jane. Monday was a run back to Boston for our exciting flight back to Des Moines IA, in which we made our connecting flight in St. Louis by all of 15 minutes.

Wonderful people, beautiful sites. It was good to be there and good to be home.

Great photos! Just a friend of some of the Class of 1966 and visited the website. Used to vacation at Arrowhead Lodge on Schroon Lake years ago. Beautiful countryside.
