New Orleans after Katrina

We were able to go into the City of New Orleans today so that we could check some of our property. While we were there we wanted to try and get to our boat in Orleans marina. Getting around there is still very difficult. We were told that we could get to the marina by taking Canal Blvd. We were only able to get part way down Canal Blvd. Huge trees completely blocked passage. We were able to turn around and take Harrison to West End and were able to go down West End (the wrong way) and finally able to get to the marina. The floodgates are still closed so it took climbing the ladder over the wall to actually get in. The changes in these areas are shocking. Everything looks so dead. This was not an easy day.
