Hanoi is a simple 3 hour flight from Singapore. Vietnam is still a developing agrarian country, but spectacular it its own way. As you drive along the roads you see a country in development, French architecture going through renovation, and scooters with multiple riders weaving in and out of traffic. The juxtaposition of old culture and the new world blend into an exciting frenzy in a vibrant, yet peaceful city. Shopping is a bargain, the food is fantastic, and the people are very friendly. Halong Bay, and the thousands of majestic limestone formations, is a setting that brings one's mind to a place of peace and enlightenment. We love this country. We think everyone should visit Vietnam if you can. We took hundreds of photos, but only posted this simple gallery of our favorite moments.
