Miami's Art in Public Places' " Making Purple" Fernando Garcia Restoration Project at the Okechobee Metro Station

Here are pictures of the Okechobee Metro station that originally was lighted by a large neon work of art by Artist Fernando Garcia which was destroyed by hurricanes and storms. This original work of art will be restored in the near future and involves two neon tubes of light blue and red suspended over a reflective box, that when both red and blue neon tubes are turned on, they create purple. This conceptual work of Fernando Garcia's is an example of his creative genius as an conceptual artist.
