NYE 2008
What can we say. Well as we do on Rusticana we went and took a look at Wikipedia and Sydney gets a mention and most of the known world as we know it. There are heaps of stats, London spends ten million quid on the fire works, New York has been the top destination for the World 2003 to 2006 and its been dropping a Ball from The Times Square Tower for a hundred years.
And with our Harbour, Portus Jacksonia to you lot and the Bridge we have a pretty smart locale to host a couple of very large firework displays.
Our habit is to place an object on the Bridge to set the scene and this year it was a huge hour glass with ran down to the year end. At nine PM the first of the fire works start with the finale at midnight. About a million people gather on or around the harbour foreshores with about two zillion litres of booze. That doesn't include the mob on the water who have a least another zillion litres awaiting thirsty throats. We are mostly good with it as this lasts all day and it's a warm climate isn't it.
Waz dropped a car down near the waterfront early, and cadged a lift, thats OZ for finding someone to drive you, down to the water later on taking Kaz with him. She found the best spot and some of the following shots resulted. Kaz also did the food, plates , serviettes, booze, sun screen, hats, rug, mobiles, Waz forgot the coffee.

Ok it is almost a year later and no one is going to read this. If you do read this however come back in 2009, we are mounting an expedition to shoot the New Year again for 2009. Might be a lot of fun, CYA then.
