West Bank - Luxor

The path has curved around as we go down. This is more easily recognised from the Balloon orientation shots at the beginning of our walk . Nip back and take another look if in doubt. Looking down the beautiful Memorial Temple of Queen Hatshepsut is before us. The wonderful long Leica zoom lens in the Panasonic shapes distance into closeup. We are still on the edge of the heights as we look down on Senenmuts magical work.

I believe the architects of Deir el-Bahri temples (both Hatshepsut's & Mentuhotep's) had the most striking position for their constructions at their hands. What a natural setting! I know I might be slightly one-sided here but Djeser djeseru must have the most attractive setting in the entire world!
