Galleria Peacock

Galleria Peacock

We did say that not all our Mates are Oz. What we did not say is that some are also Virtual Mates.
Such is the worldliness of the Internet fraternity we first met the Peacocks on the net and have to our cumulative pleasures become the best of friends. Now how good is this we ask.
So how did it happen. Weeeeel Ladies first. Lenka authors a superbe website called St-Maat
http://www.st-maat.org/
Waz tripped over the site whilst walking in the Theban Hills. Writing on a whim as you do , to thank Lenka for placing sooooo much of her research and self on the web for us Aegyptophiles Waz was not all that surprised to receive a reply and the rest is history.
Andy is a Brit. Made of the stuff that shot ten aimed bodkins a minute into the French aristocracy at Agincourt he stormed the walls of mighty Prague to steal Lenka away. Proof indeed, the Great British Empire has not departed from the World Scene. For 12 years he was a production manager of the immortal Sky http://plum.cream.org/sky/band.htm
and once an annual visitor to Australia. He has a great love of Sydney and as a consequence of many visits is aware of our wonderful Sydney Fish Markets. The Rusticannians dream of a huge convivial lunch to come.
Andy had for some years in between taking Lenka to Aegypt run a photographic Locations business in UK. Visited magic places, protested vigorously with London authorities over parking. He is a stunning photographer himself. Much of his work is on St-Maat to admire. Hardware for the Locations included a purpose built Mercedes bus. Quite a bloke, he also creates paradise gardens with frog ponds on occasion. Since May 2009 Andy has been restoring & updating an old inn in Crewkerne, Somerset, so that the two of them can finally leave their life in London behind and after a whole century they spent - in between them - living in capital cities, they want to try what life in the country is about.
Lenka a Librarian with University College London in Slavonic studies, is crowded with degrees and is the one to talk with in Czech as you research the rare books catalog. At least that's what the UCL student advice with languages page tells you. BTW did you know the UCL was the first University in England to offer a Degree to The Ladies...Out side the Terror Librarian facade, Lenka walks, the heaths and parks, cliffs and shores of Old England and watches the daily temperatures in Luxor in preparation for the next foray. She is also a formidable researcher, writer, proof reader, detailer, and photographer. Mum agrees she is also irrepressible. Now spell check that.
With all of this going on, you have to take a look at Galleria Peacock and enjoy.
Work in progress June 2011
Editors Note :
Lenka also staffs the Moderators desk at Rusticana in an attempt to keep Waz' spelling within bounds and to improve his historical accuracy.
