I want to thank everyone that has taken the time to view these photographs. They were all taken using only the available light and with the intention of demonstrating as best as possible what the human eye witnessed at the moment. My beliefs are my personal views and we each are passionate about our personal beliefs. This is wonderful and I celebrate the diversity and depth as well as the conviction of everyone's beliefs. However, the purpose of posting these photographs was strictly for the viewing pleasure of PBase Guests and members interested in the images and I welcome comments that are related to the quality, nature, composition, lighting, technical issues and any other constructive comments about making the images better in my future shoots. This site is not intended to act as a sounding board for the diversity of religious beliefs of the viewers or for use as a blog to argue between one view and another through the comments feature of this site. Please do not use this site's comment feature for any reason other than as intended and explained above. These pictures are posted for your viewing pleasure and as a means for me to share my camera's captures and receive constructive feedback from the PBase community and guests.

No se si el periodo de investigacion de estos elementos religiosos haya pasado, pero queria amplificar una idea muy importante. Lo importante de cualquier asunto de creyencia es el lugar en que la creyencia aparezsca. He leido que la iglesia institucional ha tomado una posicion de un cierto escepticismo acerca de estas visiones. Puesto que la Iglesia Catolica siempre ha tomado posiciones parecidas en situaciones semejantes, no hay sorpresa ninguna en eso. El lugar en cuestion es tambien el sitio de un seminario, distinguido por unos famosos profesores cubanos, Por ejemplo Fermin Peinado, autor de un libro muy importante a la comunidad cubana "Beware Yankee". Peinado era professor en el seminario de St. John Vianney al lado de St. Brendan's. Yo me considero muy afortunado de haber sido su estudiante de philosophia durante el periodo cuando era seminarista alli. Lo significante de todo esto es que Peinado era muy conservador en sus creyencias politicas. Por ejemplo durante los '80s los obispos catolicos se ponian en contra al gobierno sobre en el desarollo de armas atomicas. Peinado tomaba una posicion muy inteligente
a mi parecer, diciendo que solo con la amenaza de estas fuerzas seria posible resolver los problemas contemporaneas, La sabiduria de Peinado en estos asuntos era mucho mas visible que los mismos obispos de la Iglesia Catolica. Quizas el lugar de estas visiones, sean falsas o verdaderas, tiene mucho de ver con todo esto en cuanto a un cierto espiritu de conservatismo inteligente que ha brindado en el sitio por muchos anos. Yo no me considero catolico hoy en dia, pero si con ese espiritu de conservatismo inteligente me conformo. Quizas por esas razones el lugar tiene una energia especial que sea la explicacion por el tema entero. Yo no estoy sorprendida por la respuesta del clero sobre este MILAGRO. Yo, junto con otras once personas fuimos testigos de un MILAGRO EUCARISTICO el 10 de Octubre del 2004, una mancha de sangre aparecio en la hostia consagrada en la custodia. Gracias a Dios, tenemos fotografias.........pero lo similar al MILAGRO de St Brendan es que el sacerdote CONSUMIO la Hostia!!!,...y con eso dio por terminado esta manifestacion del Senor...como si fuera tan facil...
Bueno, eso fue lo que el creyo, porque el MILAGRO lo llevamos en nuestros corazones, y damos testimonio dia a dia de que..El Amor de Dios va mas alla de decisiones humanas.....JESUS ESTA VIVO!!!!

THE COINCIDENCE OF ALL COINCIDENCES. That the image of the Holy family is "projected" on a cloth in a Chapel where the Blessed Sacrament is present. That the virgin Mary is on the left (with crown and other features), that Joseph is on the right, and a baby in the middle. That the Blessed sacrament had the image of a heart also present. that all this happened suddenly accordin to witnesses.
What a candle to project all that in a sacred place !!. Oye, que velita esa !!. .... por favor... quieren tapar el milagro porque no concuerda con cierta definicion que la Iglesia tiene de un milagro... bueno, en mi libro esto fue un milagro...mucha coincidencia !!!.

If the church is about the truth, where is the monstrace, the mantle ? Why were the plants moved and why did they remove everything behind closed doors? Why didn't they just leave everything alone and let the people see for themselves. WHat are they hiding? Why say it was a miracle then all of the sudden claim it was not? Maybe pressure form people who where being inconvenienced by the traffic it was causing? If nothing was therewas nothing , then why did they take it?

Pao, It's the church's duty to investigate and reveal truth! The church did it's job keeping truth. It was explainable by natural means, however God allowed it to happen.

It makes me sad to see the incredulity of so many people when we read about something that is not war, violence and/or death-related. I for one, was there on a Sunday with my boyfriend. I came in wishing for a miracle, because my life has been nothing short of a disaster as of late, and left with an overwhelming sense of joy. I believe that was my miracle. I saw the image, reflection, shadow, whatever you want to call it. I believe that it was real, for many reasons, but mostly because of what I felt and saw when I went that day. There was an overwhelming sense of collective sorrow. I was so overcome with emotion at feeling this, because it was a clear reminder of how many of us are suffering from things/events/ailments others can only begin to imagine. I am sad that people who don't believe and those who cast doubt on what happened at St. Brendan (and in this list I am including the Archdiocese of Miami) would be so quick to destroy what little shred of hope seeing this image brought to so many, me included. Didn't St. Francis of Assisi say something about virtues? Faith, Hope and Love? I shudder to think that the Church might have lost these, in their never-ending battle to be the bearers of the one and only truth. I think there are many sides to this story, but the one I find irrefutable, is the fact that no one has the right to take hope away from those who humbly seek it. Least of all the Church.

El Senor trabaja misteriosamente y si fue el reflejo de la vela y lo que aguanta la vela que causo el imagen entonces que haci sea. Acepta la Divina Providencia de como Dios. Dios hace las cosas usando sus hijos. En este caso la persona que puso la vela en esa exacta posicion que causo el imagen fue su instrumento. Coincidencia NO! Divina Providencia De Dios Si! When an alleged apparition miracle is occurring as in this case it was left alone as in my opinion was proper. I believe in God's Providence! God allowed for the Candle fixture to be placed at the exact spot where this would occur and what an extraordinary image was caused. The Holy Family! All types of people from different backgrounds/religions came and visited the Blessed Sacrament who otherwise might have never gone there. That was indeed a Miracle! God's ways are indeed a mystery. Instead of arguing and being divisive we should be thankful and blessed for the last few days at St. Brendan's. The Pastor has done the right thing. I thank him for that. Thank You Jesus, we adore you in the Blessed Sacrament! Mary Our Blessed Mother Pray for Us! Beloved Joseph, Pray for us!

My two Aunt's were NUN'S in the Holy Family of Nazerath order for more than 50 yeats. God Bless thier souls. They would of believe this was a miracle, and so do I. Because people wanted to come and see this miracle, that does not make them skeptic an curious. I would say, believing God has send us a sign from heaven. Most likely the ones who came and saw are the one that have faith in God, and to the ones that wanted to see and didn't theu will appear again. Maybe at ST.BRENDAN or some where else.

If indeed the images of the Holy Family were: "shadows naturally caused by the sanctuary lamp (a burning candle in the chapel to indicate the presence of the Holy Eucharist)", why were the monstrance and cloth removed from the chapel of perpetual adoration at St. Brendan? Why wasn't the sanctuary lamp moved or removed? By whom was it "definitely proven" and where is the proof? Please do share it with the rest of the parishioners. Why then did the images cast by the burning candle not change or alter as the days passed and as the candle/s were consumed? Nor were they different no matter which camera captured the image? Pastor Heria has recanted with this letter his prior words qualifying the image as a miracle. One must wonder why the need to do so. The fact remains that just being in the presence of the Eucharist is indeed a miracle so continuing to visit the chapel of perpetual adoration at St. Brendans is still a miraculous and peaceful event.

Le escribe Esperanza Silvestre. Mi esposo, Manuel Silvestre--ministro de la eucaristia en St. Brendan--y yo, somos miembros de la Iglesia de St. Brendan desde mediados de los años '60 y hemos apreciado la amistad que hemos tenido con usted desde que llego a nuestra Parroquia.
He leido con detenimiento su carta de "aclaracion" y le confieso que sus palabras me han dejado estupefacta. Tanto los devotos, como los escepticos y curiosos todos vimos con nuestros propios ojos los contornos en sombras que aparecieron en el lienzo. Usted dice que esto fue causado "de manera natural" por la vela que siempre ha estado delante del lienzo que cuelga del podio donde se encuentra la custodia con la Eucaristia. Esta conclusion va en contra de las leyes fisicas y ofende nuestra inteligencia: la llama de una vela esta en constante movimiento y por tanto cualquier imagen que proyecte tambien tienen que estar en movimiento...no.? Sera posible, tambien, que una llama tan pequeña proyecte dos imagenes diferentes de mas de 2 pies de altura cada una...? En ultimo caso, Padre, esta es una vela MUY ESPECIAL. Donde esta, quien la tiene, que se va a hacer con ella? Y mas sorprendente, usted no menciona en absoluto la sombra que tambien aparecio en la Eucaristia, y que fue lo primero que yo note al mirar hacia la custodia...pues pienso como usted que la eucaristia es el verdadero milagro... Es esto tambien "reflejo" de la vela? Por favor, Padre....y si ahi no habia nada, por que tambien el Señor Arzobispo decidio llevarsela....y...donde esta, que va a hacer con ella y, mas importante, con la hostia consagrada?

I do not understand, if it indeed the images were caused by a light, which many people believed so, why the responsible people at the church did not check this fact, before making a display of these images??? you mean nobody thought of removing the candle before to see if the images stayed the same? or change the cloth from one place to another to make sure ??? I love my mother, Virgin Mary, with all my heart, I can't believe someone could do something like this.

The Holy Family is holy.....Myself and my son went on Sept 21, 07 at midnight from Miami Lakes, to St. Brendan to see for ourselves the image. I have to say after waiting for an hour the image that we saw was incredible and peaceful at the same time. We didn't see any trick on the walls, or light, we saw a candle and from this candle it was imitating this image that we perceived as the Holy Family. I believe 100% that our mother in heaven "Mary" is calling to us to engage in good thing here on earth and to reach out to God and Jesus, and above all "PRAY THE ROSARY".....thank you, a servant of God.... NOTE OF CLARIFICATION ON THE IMAGES SEEN AT SAINT BRENDAN CATHOLIC CHURCH

It has definitively been demonstrated that the images seen on the altar cloth in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel at Saint Brendan Parish were shadows naturally caused by the sanctuary lamp (a burning candle in the chapel to indicate the presence of the Holy Eucharist). The images were not miraculous.

The genuine miracle at Saint Brendan Parish is the Holy Eucharist which is the sacramental real presence of Jesus Christ (cf. Catechism of the Catholic Church, esp. arts. 1373-1381). This miracle is made present on the altar at every Catholic Mass and remains present in the tabernacle.

It is not surprising that natural events should reflect divine realities. To behold a beautiful sunrise, to reflect on the selfless love of husband and wife, or to persevere through sufferings are all ways in which natural realities point the searching human heart toward Almighty God. As Saint Augustine said, “our hearts are restless until they rest in God” (Confessions I, i).

Over the past few days, many hearts were touched by the images seen in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel at Saint Brendan. It is sincerely hoped that the devout, the skeptic and the curious will allow this experience to draw them closer to the Lord Jesus Christ. Like the Blessed Mother and all the saints, may the events of our lives lead us always to walk in the light of Christ.

Was this a real apparition?
Or was it a shadow reflected from effigies near the cloth?
What ever it was had the power to bring together many people from different ethnicities, gender, nationality, and also believes.
Now that’s what you can call a miracle.
But regardless what it was it brought new faith to some, renowned faith to others and a reason to believe.
At some time or another we need to believe in something, that will help us carry our everyday load. But if you have faith and believe in Jesus and you have accepted Him, IT IS ALL YOU NEED!
But what is not a miracle is that Jesus is always there in the Eucharist as he promised.

I regret to not have taken the time to visit this apperition. We are surrounded by signs and messages from the Lord and his Mother Mary every day, but we do not take notice to see or hear them. How many times have you suddenly glance up to see that the car in front of you has stoped suddenly while you were distracted, but you miraculesly stoped in time. Was it luck, coinsidence, or was it a voice from within (a Godinsidence). Why do we dought these things but believe those who tell us to do everything that God has taught us not to do. Listen to your good inner voice (GOD). Remember the commandments (the rules of the game). Read the Bible (our instruction manual). Read the Sermon on the Mount in Mathew 5-7;Lukw 6.20-49. Envy, Gossip, Lust, that is what many prefer to hear from their inner voices (the enemy). Pray for God to steer you in the right direction and everything will fall in its place. BELIEVE in all things good. Turn away for thing that you feel are wrong (if it dosn't feel right don't do it). It dosn't matter if the apperition is real or not. What matters is that people felt peace while they were there, and perhaps came back to their faith. God Bless.

Reflexionemos, usemos la inteligencia y abramos el corazón a la Fe.
Dia tras dia voy a Adorar a Jesus Sacramentado en esa misma Capilla y cada 14 dias se cambia la vela pues es su tiempo de duración y nunca antes las velas han ocasionado esas imagenes, ni al comienzo ni al final de cada una de ellas!
Saquemos nuestras propias conclusiones:
1)El fotógrafo professional salió por la television declarando que era imposible que ninguna luz existente en el lugar ocasionara dichas sombras en el paño del Santísimo…Ademas, yo hablé personalmente con él sobre el tema en una madrugada que sacaba fotos y me corroboraba personalmente lo dicho a nivel televisivo, es mas, él estaba esperando por un cambio en la Hostia a ver si surgía un milagro Eucarístico….entonces….¿Ponemos en duda las declaraciones de un experto de la fotografía?

2)El martes en la noche, poco despues de las 7:30 PM, a puerta cerrada la “comitiva Arquidiocesana” penetran en el Santísimo, y se llevan la Custodia y la Hostia original con la imagen de la Virgen María impresa en ella. Fui de las que en la madrugada hice la guardia por mas de ocho horas diarias y fueron 5 dias de ver y reflexionar por un espacio de mas de ocho horas mientras dirigía la masa de gente que llegaban entre las 12 de la noche y las 9 de la mañana. ¡Las conversiones fueron muchas!

3)¿Porqué hay silencio absoluto sobre la Custodia y la Hostia que se llevaron i supuestamente todo es falso?

4)¿Porqué ponen otra Hostia Consagrada en otra Custodia si fue la tenue luz de la vela la que ocasionó las imagenes en el paño?

5)¿Porqué invirtieron el orden de las macetas con las matas que estan en frente del paño (me consta), si fue la tenue luz de la vela la que ocasionó la aparición de la imágenes?

8)¿Porqué no nos informaron oficialmente el lunes a los que nos quedábamos en la madrugada custodiando el Santísimo lo que teníamos que decir y fue la Sacristana y no el Parroco quien anuncia brevemente por el micrófono que cambiaron la vela y desapareció el milagro? Desde las 10 de la noche hasta las 5 de la madrugada tuve que evangelizar a ese pueblo desorientado que llegaba sediento del Señor, y no habia milagro que mostrarle.
9)¿Porqué cambiar la Hostia si eso se hace oficialmente, cada primer viernes de mes con una misa a las tres de la tarde y todos acompañamos al Sacerdote a poner la nueva Hostia Consagrada en la Custodia del Santísimo…Tocaría hacerlo nuevamente el viernes 5 de Octubre.
10)¿Puede la tenue luz de la vela reflejar esas imagenes del paño, las cuales estan por debajo de la vela y no en frente de ella?
11)¿Puede una tenue luz de una vela apagándose y en etapa final hacer la sombra de la Virgen en la Hostia que está supremamente por encima de aquella vela y dentro de una custodia cerrada con un vidrio?
12)Necesitamos que se hagan mas investigaciones al respecto con expertos en la materia.
13)La Iglesia es experta en materia de Fe pero no de ciencia.

I went to Medjugorje in 2005. Many people told me not to go. They said, "it's a hoax" or "it's sensationalism". My first day there, I went to one of the most beautiful Masses. That afternoon, I waited in line for an hour for a Priest to hear my confession. That night, I went to Eucharistic Adoration with 5,000 pilgrims from all over the world. Is Medjugorje real? Is this phenomena real? Christ told us to be like children, why can't we believe like children? I would say, wherever we feel the Holy Spirit it is real. Only good fruits come from God. If it helps just one person say a Rosary, go to confession or ask for forgiveness, then it is real. The Pharissees claimed to know the mind and will of God. They were clean on the outside and filthy on the inside. Christ properly chastised them for their hypocrisy. Lets learn from His lesson. These people feel like God touched them through this experience. Why can't this be enough?

I am a parishioner at St. Brendan's for over 30 years and there is no doubt that what occurred at the Chapel of the Adoration, although it cannot be explained, could be seen by all, regardless of their faith. Now the Archbishop has decided that "nothing supernatural happened" and the linen cloth and the monstrance with the Eucharist were removed on Monday night. Twenty four hours later a letter was issued by St. Brendan's Pastor informing all that there was no miracle. Is the Pastor, or perhaps Archbishop Favarola an authority on miracles? Were these things examined, and by whom, and how was is done in 24 hours?...And where are the Monstrance with the Eucharist and the linen cloth? Another monstrance was placed yesterday at the Chapel...who is playing games and for what reason? Remember that in all apparitions duly recognized by the Catholic Church, the clergy has been the first to oppose and condem them. Perhaps this is our sign that THIS ONE DID COME FROM GOD!

But if Our Lord permits these signs to happen to bring those whose faith must go deeper than this, we should thank the Lord and pray for all those who might have visited a Chappel for the 1st time in their lives and Our Lord is calling to them through this sign. I am beyond words. How dare they say "there was no miracle"! Who is the Pastor of St. Brendan to say that? Will there be an investigation? If they replaced the candle, why didn't images reappear if they were naturally caused by the sanctuary lamp (candle)? Why was the Monstrance taken away? How could we be taken for fools and not have an opinon or be disrespected like this? I wonder if Archbishop McCarthy was still here how he would have handled this situation. I think this letter was rather arrogant, no humility or resppect shown and this from those we follow.

They cannot change what so many of us saw just because Father Fernando wrote a letter. We are astounded at how the Church is behaving, but now I understand what people have been saying for centuries about the abuses and secretiveness of our Church.

Go to the Blessed Sacrament Chapel at any Catholic Church.
Jesus is always there in the Eucharist as he promised.
It is what we believe as Catholics and have since the Last Supper.
With this in mind, let's look at Scripture. Luke 22, verse 15, our Lord says, "I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you." So we are assured that the Last Supper in the Upper Room was a Passover meal. In Mark 14, verses 22 through 26, we hear the words of institution, "And as they were eating He took bread and blessed and broke it and gave it to them and said, 'Take, this is my body.' And He took a cup and when He had given thanks, He gave it to them and they drank all of it and He said to them, 'This is my blood of the New Covenant which is poured out for many. Truly I say to you, I shall not drink again of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.'"

You could also say it this way: that if the Passover isn't finished until Calvary, I would suggest that Calvary is really begun in the Upper Room with the Eucharist. When does Jesus' sacrifice really begin? Well, He insists on the fact that His life is not being taken away from Him. He is laying it down. Now in the trial, in the passion, it's being taken away; but in the Upper Room, prior to all of that, Jesus lays it down. He says, "This is my body. This cup is the blood of the New Covenant."


At the cross he gave us his mother:
John 19: 25 - 27
25 So the soldiers did this. But standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Mag'dalene.
26 When Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing near, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold, your son!"

Mary Our Mother is always drawing us to her son OUR SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST!
This was visible and happened in Westchester at St. Brendan's Catholic Church!

A lot of people keep saying "we don't need these shadows or imagery to love Jesus". Maybe YOU don't but a lot of people in this world do. I don't need to see to believe but this may help people come back to Church. JESUS IS IN THE EUCHARIST, BODY, BLOOD, SOUL AND DIVINITY. Look at how when it first happened there was only three people at adoration. Only three people! It seems that there was alot going on at St. Brendan's before this happened. Who are we to question? God works in mysterious ways. I think Edward has quoted Pope Urban correctly. You don't have to believe in apparitions but you will still get the grace if they are false. To Jesus through Mary. There IS a family crisis in this world. I hope that this image brings people back to the Eucharist which we all know is Jesus. I hope this brings people back to confession and this country back to God. Maybe it won't bring everyone back at once. Maybe only a few but there is more rejoicing in heaven when ONE fallen comes back, more than the faithful who go every week. Peace be with you.

Ask God to change the hearts of the humanity, pray for purity in the world, pray for the families, pray for the marriage, the children, the church, the priests, pray for all the women to restore their dignity, to be treated as persons not only for sexual objects. When Lord Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament is exposed for adoration. Its obvious that "shadows from a candle stand" are More important than the Real presence of Jesus.

I'm sorry to see this kind of thing touted as an apparition. It's not, it's the reflection of the candle glass. Plus, it doesn't even look like Our Lady, just some vague round thing without a face. It makes us Catholics look like fools and does not compare to the true apparitions. I would not be suprised if this 'Jesus on a tortilla chip' thing is some kind of holdover from ancient Aztec/pagan religion or another form of syncretism.

As Catholics, we should always take the Holy Family as an example, we should alreayd be aware of this. For this is what cathechism of the church teaches us. This has been since our Lord was born on this earth...As christians , we should know our duties towards God, our Lord, we should know that we should adore the Lord, turn away from sin. We hear the gospel, the WORD, every sunday, for some everyday at church. There is nothing that our church teaches, that does tell us about all these...

So why do we need images like that ( on sandwiches, pancakes, shadows etc etc) to believe in God, to pray and adore HIM?

Do we really need these??? Or do we like the supernatural and sensational stories??? If we need that to love God, then we need to ask ourselves some questions about our faith in Jesus, God and devotion to Mary.

when the Holy Family appeared during the great miracle of Fatima witnessed by thousands, they did not appear as shadows but as their real self...it is imaginable to compare this...this is not an apparition by the way...and apparition does not just stay there for everyone to see, like at Lourdes, Guadalupe, and Fatima...for the one who says that it is o.k to belive in illusions...it is like saying it is o.k to believe in blackmagic...we are called to believe in God and all his works through our Blessed Mother and Saints...Why don't we wait for the investigations of the church before putting faith into this?!!! You cannot even compare this to any apparition in the church...Let's focus on the TRUE MIRACLE, the host, the Body and Presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ...We should not need excuses like shadows to adore Jesus, after all what HE did for us...

I agree with a few of the other comments, please move the candle so we can get a better look. I read through most of the comments. Very few even mention the Eucharist. There it is on the top. Look (at least in the photos where it wasn't cut out). Terrible. The Eucharist is cut out by a shadow cast by lighting and candle display, and active imagination. Real Presence versus shadows. If the Holy Family wishes to be seen, I think we'll see something more the quality of the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. So stop looking at shadows, toasted cheese sandwiches and tree bark, and look at the monstrance at the top of the photo, and at your local Catholic Church.

At least that's what they constantly tell us. But I keep getting proved wrong. As Padre Pio said, "Pray, hope, and don't worry." Peace all. A couple of quick thoughts. I see no harm in people venerating these images if in fact they believe it is a miracle. Thoughts of God turn into prayers when confronted with such phenomena. If it brings people closer to Jesus it truly is a good thing. God is in everything and uses everything and everyone to express His love.
Thoughts on Mary: The Blessed Mother was picked by God the Father to nurture in her womb the Savior of the world. What an honor for her. "I am the handmade of the Lord". Total submission to the will of God. My soul glorifies the Lord, he looks on His servant in her lowliness, henceforth all generations will call me blessed". A poor teenage girl, born in obscurity, destined to die in obscurity until God chose her. Talk about miracles! In closing, the Blessed Mother teaches us true humility. She is an expert guide to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Have a great day.

No one believe when Jesus walk among us, that he was God. I feel sorry for the ones that do not believe, they are going to be the ones that when God comes back will not follow him.
God is looking at the true believers those who will follow him, even if his image is in a garbage can remember he will not come again in a bolt of lightning or in a cloud follow by angels he will return and no one is going to believe that he is truly God, only the true believers will follow him. In the shadow at the right, I guess one can see a shape that resembles an image taken from a painting of the Virgin Mary. But I fail to see St Joseph carrying the infant Jesus (which I'm sure he did at least once in his lifetime). This should not be tagged a fake, hoax or let alone a work of the devil, it's just shadows that resemble the silhouette of the Virgin Mary. Take the candle away and I'm afraid the images will be gone. No need to get excited or altered here whether in favor or against...

I believe. Our Blessed Mother has been appearing for a long time. These are the warnings. Seek and you shall find. It's an ugly world we live in and as our Mother (given to us by Jesus on the cross), she's warning us. Take heed! These signs are for the unbelievers. EVERYONE is welcome in the Fathers house. Mireya, what is truth? I hope the Bishop will set up an investigation and you will then find out truth. We are too quick to believe and not test what the truth is. but yes I do believe....I have had miracles happen to me at an Adoration Chapel in Broward
recently...it is only between Him and I...and of course I had to tell the doctor what had happened after all I got hurt and run to the Adoration Chapel...and like the doctor said the following day..."surprisinly it is healing quickly"...but I knew different and the reason why...It was Lourdes' Water and running immediately to the Adoration Chapel...
ST. Brendan was my Parish Church before I was married and then for many years after until I moved to Broward...let us all pray the Holy Rosary everyday this month, it is 90yrs since the Miracle of the Sun in Fatima...Sunday Oct. 13, 2007...PASS IT ON FOR EVERYONE TO PRAY THE ROSARY THAT SUNDAY AT ANYTIME...THE MAIN THING IS THAT IT WILL BE PRAYED ALL DAY LONG FROM EVERYWHERE IN THIS GREAT NATION OF OURS AND IN THE WORLD...SHE WILL LEADS US TO HIM, HER SON...feel sorry for those that make "ugly" comments...that's why we need to pray w/o stopping...it's in the Bible

The Graces are not in the beauty of the images, but in the LOVE and FAITH. God can do anything and will do anything to shake the world before it is too late. We must thank Him for these Signs....they are Signs for ALL to believe, pray and wait.
We also know that Father Jozo of Medjugorje talked in this Church last year. The Holy Family is inviting us to CONVERT and be Holy NOW during this Time of Great Graces and Great Trials.

We will have more signs to come I am sure. Glory to God ! Thank you Jesus and Blessed Mother ! Thank you Saint Joseph !

It saddens me to see some of these comments and the disbelief of some. Perhaps you should research. I was told this began last Wednesday after 7 PM mass. Three people were praying in the Chapel when a bolt of light blinded all. No one knew what was happening, but a few seconds afterwards the bluriness gone, they say the sihouettes and ran to get the priest.

To me, I feel privileged to have a miracle happen in my back yard. I didn't need it. I am a practicing Catholic, who knows miracles happen each day during mass when bread and wine is turned into God's blood and flesh.

I think this miracle is for the benefit of those who don't practice a religion and doubt the Truth. For them, I pray. God be with you and yours. Mireya

If it is truly miraculous then the image would still appear if the glass candle holder is taken away. Inspiring? Maybe. Miraculous? Doubtful. The church-approved Marian apparitions cannot be explained by science. This one, however, can be put under test by changing the lighting, moving the candle, etc. It seems that what is being taken away is the focus on the True Presence above the "image" and Mary would never do that. Take the glass candle holder away and focus on Jesus.

The REAL MIRACLE here is on top of the altar, that is, the REAL PRESENCE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST IN THE BLESSED SACRAMENT. See Luke 22, 19 when Jesus, in the Last Supper with his disciples, "took the bread, said the blessing, broke it and gave it to them saying, This is my body which will be given for you, do this in memory of me" and also see John 21, 24-29 where Jesus tells Thomas that "Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed".

I believe Our Lady is calling us to Her Son in all ways possible. It is why She asked, as Our Lady of America, for us to "Bring Her children" to Rome City, IN where many marvelous healings and spiritual conversions are taking place. This Tuesday-Thursday will be the 51st anniversary dates of these apparitions and there will be people visiting this place all week in honor and prayer.

Take away the candlestick and the image will disappear! It is just a coincidence, how foolish this makes us Catholics look. Imagine our Lady appearing on a grillcheese sandwich and fetching $28.000 for instance. What a shame. The diocese should put a stop to this type of fanaticism. Stay with those apparitions Holy Mother Church has given credence to and live their message. Thank God, for the wisdom of Our Church!

it is one way that our Blessed Virgin Mary is reminding everyone to do "adoration".
Not much people "catholic" find time to go to adoration. So Priest/s preach and tell
or remind everyone to spend at least one hour with Jesus. Pray their Rosary daily--amazing you bump in to some catholics who doesnt even know how to pray the rosary.

We have what appears to be the shadow of the Blessed Mother on the Risen Jesus statue which hangs over the main altar of our church. We have perpetual adoration five days a week. The image appeared a few years ago and was first discovered by one of our deacons. We have only been in the parish for about 2-1/2 years so I don't know all the details. Also in the adoration chapel is the shadow of the head of the crucified Christ on a stand which is used for fresh flowers and is positioned next to the Blessed Sacrament. I can see the Blessed Mother but have not been granted the grace to see the image of Christ.

I become weary over things like this. It only shows how thursting people are for a sense of God and the supernatural. Our dear Mother can do much better then appear in silhouette. Our faith must go much deeper then this. If such happenings bring people comfort in this troubled world, so be it.
