This was one of the most balanced Pennsics in recent memory, with time spent socializing, taking classes, shopping, being productive and I even attended opening ceremonies for the first time in years (see the gallery below). As with any Pennsic, I made many new friends and got to know some a little better.
Though I say this every year, this Pennsic had to have been the best I'd ever been to. For the first time, I didn't get the Pennsic "giddyness" I usually get while on my way there. I think my mind has come to see Pennsic as a part of my life now, rather than an extraordinary event. Not that this makes it any less special for me; Pennsic feels like home to me more than ever.
Eowulf. Thanks very much! I would love to see a path of lights along our borders, and look forward to getting to know you guys better next year.

Hi there - I like your pictures a lot and you're encouraging me to post stuff accessable from pennsic.net. Maybe in a week or 2, hmm. I'm one of your neighbors from Settmour Swamp. We really like the lamps, I'd like to see our camp do lots o' lamps, too, and continue the path you've made along the treeline.
Thanks! Unfortunatley I only made it to the battlefield for opening ceremonies, and thus did not get any of the fighting. Next year I will have a real SLR as opposed to a point and shoot so one of my "Pennsic resolutions" is to take more battlefield pictures.

The pictures look great! Nice composition!
Did you get anything from the Plate and Mail Tournament by any chance?
