Hi Gary,
I have a pair of REL 1944 7x50's (22450-c) and one of the eye cup rings is missing. Do you know if a substitute would be available? Many thanks - what a great site by the way!

Gary I have just purchased a FED Siberia which is very close to yours in looks.

I would appreciate contact with you to exchange notes. Right at the moment I am particularly interested in your serial number - mine is #455950 which is "1954"
I am also interested in whether we have "Paulus" clone versions.

The Siberia is subject to much whimsy and it would be interesting to sort out the facts from the fantasy.

Hello Gary!
Your collection is quiet amazing! I'm glad I found your site, I have a pair of binoculars that I would like to know more about. They are Kershaw 8x30 No. 3629 and it says Negretti & Zambra London on the bottom. I was hoping maybe you would know a little about them as I can't find any information on the web.
Thank you for your time, I'd appreciated any help you can give me.
Sara.

Just want to ask a question. You have a Zeiss Jena 7x50 U-boat (BLC) in your gallery. I have the same in almost matching condition. Mine has ser# 61694. Any idea of the history or value? There's a rusted pair on ebay for almost $4,000 US.

Gary,
I would like to use some of your Leitz binocular photos on the Leicawiki
www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-wiki.en/index.php/Main_Page#LEITZ_.2F_LEICA_SPORT_OPTICS
would that be OK (with proper accreditation)?

Gary,
I was searching for information about a particular pair of biboculars I found in my uncle's old hunting jacket that he's has not worn since the seventies. The make and model are Apollo 8X20, Field 7.5 degree fully coated optics, BAK-4 PRISMS, No. 8465 made in Japan. Can you give me any information about these binoculars? Also, I'm interested in purchasing 1970's military field binoculars to complete my collection of 70's Marine Field uniform I had while I served in the Corps. Can you tell me the make and model of the type of binoculars we used during the end of the Vietnam era?
Thank you for your attention in this matter.
Best wishes,
Frank

Gary,

I have a pair of gas mask binoculars, markings: Dienstglas, 10x50, 326, blc +. They are missing the eyepieces that screw on to the ocular. Do you know where I might be able to find a pair of eyepieces? Thanks.

I have a pair of Carl Zeiss Jena dienstglas 7 X 50 binoculars, number 1684603 with an M under the number. My father brought them back from Germany in 1946. I'd be grateful if you could throw some light on their origin and use.
