A bee stocks up on spring water from the Pushawalla Palms Oasis, Coachella Valley Preserve, Thousand Palms, California.
Though it's in the middle of the Mojave Desert, this spring runs all year; something to do with the San Andreas (earthquake) fault forming an impervious layer of silt and forcing water to the surface.
