Thailand is called "The Land of Smiles," and we were most often met with warm smiles and open hearts. We think our photos show many aspects of the lives of Thai people in their everyday occupations and activities, some not often seen by "farungs," or "falungs" (Thai name for foreigners). Thais we met were typically very eager to pose and have their photos made, and the children captivated us with their outgoing personalities. The Hilltribe people of the north allowed us a glimpse into a primitive culture which is rapidly disappearing. The diverse landscapes, from cities to farmlands and from beaches to mountains, exotic flora and fauna, and the variety of colorful surroundings everywhere we traveled make Thailand truly an exciting country to visit and a photographer's dream destination. We hope you enjoy "looking over our shoulders" in this photo journal.
Note: The galleries are designed in nested fashion. That is, if the title of a photo is surrounded by < >, click on it to go to the embedded gallery. If there are no more embedded sub-galleries the titles of the photos won't have the < > marks, or photos may not be titled. Also, you can click on "tree view" in the upper right hand corner of each gallery page to see the entire layout.
