30 June 2013

A month and a half later, DSV is now half a metre high and growing thickly all around the circle. The Virginia creeper seen in 2012 is still present and the small leaves show that it is growing. This photo is closer than the July 2012 photo, so you don't see the DSV at the "front" of the circle. For comparison, the aspen with the bent trunk in this photo is just visible behind a lighter-coloured trunk in the 2012 photo. The pair of aspen trunks at the left edge of this photo are clearly visible about 1/5 in from the left edge of the 2012 photo.

Diameters are now 1.7 m (e-w) and 2.3 m (n-s).

Although we didn't look closely, grass and Virginia creeper still seem to be the dominant plants inside the circle.
