Green Lacewing larva (Chrysoperla)

Heading into the flowers of queen anne's lace. This little larva looks vaguely like a ladybeetle larva in shape, but if you could see the head, you would find large and fearsome jaws, which are used to capture aphids, sawfly larvae and other insects, often bigger than the lacewing itself. Lacewings are often sold to gardeners for natural control of insect pests in the garden.
