A Police Officer badge from the Miami-Dade Police Department in Florida. It is the largest of the 63 county law enforcement agencies in Florida, with over 3,000 sworn police officers. The Miami-Dade Police was created in the late 70's when the Dade County Sheriff and another police force merged to form one county-wide agency. Before 1998 it was known as the Metro-Dade Police.

This is the police force made famous by David Caruso in the series 'CSI: Miami'.
