Frank, thank you for all your photos of the range rat reunions. You are a talented photographer, many of the people coming each year love to keep the memories alive but do not take the photos needed to attain memory status. I too love photography, with you and I both covering the parties we get to make sure no one is left out. Thank you for all you do, I greatly appreciate all your wonderful photos. See you next time!! Debbie

Was searching for some info on the old range base activities and happened across this "range rat" link. Wow!! Talk about a trip down memory lane that I hadn't bargained for. I first moved downrange in 1957 as a 6 year old dependent. Dad (Sam Pruitt) worked a number of installations before deciding to bring the family down to our first pcs-type stop on Eleuthera. After several years there, we moved on to Antigua for a few years until I was sent back to the U.S. to finish high school and go on to college. At one time or the other, Dad worked just about every installation on the ETR......Mayaguana, GBI, Eleuthera, AscensIon, Antigua, Grand Turk, and was the PAA manager on Carter Cay until he went back to Antigua for one last stop prior to his untimely passing. Despite my move back to the U.S. for school, military and subsequent career, I continued to spend whatever time I could in the islands. Most memorable was one spectacular summer on Turk diving with Frank Thompson and Leon Lacey. Frank: remember the boat wheel "salvage" and the subsequent smuggling operation needed to get it off the island without losing my head?!?!? Between that and all our shark encounters at Ambergris and other places that summer, I'm surprised that I'm alive to tell the tales! Did my initial flight training and solo flight off that massive runway. I'll never forget being in the pattern in my little Cessna 150 waiting on the B52's doing their low level flyby's! (I wonder if Frank and Lacey remember my solo party at the club and the "half prop for a half pilot" they presented to me?)
Great memories all around.....would love contact from anyone who knew Dad and would share stories of those times.

Hi Frank, I hope you remember me. It's been a long time since we were on any of the Islands together. I would love to hear from you! I'm living on the St.Johns in Melbourne. I see Ron Shannon and Dennis Wood every once in a while. How is Big John(Pete)? How is John the Indian? Is Jim Erbie still kicking around? It seems like I heard he has passed? I hope not.Take care, It looks like you have a beautiful place!

Your photos have taken my breath away. I've sat here this evening sharing them with J.R. and I know I have many more people to share them with. This will be a site I'll visit often and hope that my photos will be as beautiful as yours. Do you think it runs in the family? Let's hope so. When you're ready for season changes you're welcome to come to my home in the Dakotas or in Montana. How about some fly fishing lessons, we have the spots and flyrods if you have the time.
I love you, Kim

Frankie, Digital or not, it has nothing to do with your camera!! You have an eye for color and composition that few people have. Your photos are fabulous and I look forward to seeing a book of your work! Keep it up! Love, Sally

Fantastic work Franky! I showed these to Christopher, now he has shown every kid in the nieghborhood. They love the shots of the does and fawns together. You know, which pictures I enjoy the most! The quality you have achieved here is as good as, if not better than any professional works I have seen. You should pursue this further. What a great little corner of heaven you have. I think "B" would have been tickled.
Bonnie 30-Jul-2003 23:39
Hi Frank,

I noticed your photographs on your daughter's computer at work. She's very proud of your work. My husband and I really enjoyed the shots and now I want a digital! Shannon is a very nice young lady, you should be proud.

We have an open call to artists with works due Oct. 1. Send me 10 digital on a disk or 10 slides along with a bio and a statement about your shots - your work has really become impressive. What have you got to lose, old man? I sell some mounted photos in our gift shop that aren't near as good as your! Mary

Frankie -

Awesome shots - tell Shannon she missed my birthday, but could make up for it by sending me a camera like that! You really need to submit some of these to photo contests.
