Yisroel Yosef Putting on Tefillin for the first time

Congregation Lubavitch, Long Beach, CA

Family celebrates young man preparing for his Bar Mitzvah in a couple of months. It is a mitzvah (obligation) for a Jewish man to put on Tefillin every day after age 13. It is a custom to begin before the Bar Mitzvah.
