Great natural shots of children. I'm also just starting in portraiture. Here's a good link someone provided me on posing and lighting for formal portraits.

Good posing is about going by a sort of rule book AND keeping the subjects comfortable so you get natural expressions. Here's a link for some portrait info. Under "Articles" there should be some stuff on posing poeple. You may have to search the articles, because I don't see anything right away. Also the "forums" have a portrait category. You don't need to join to read and you'll want to start by reading. Those guys can be harsh. Not like PAD.http://zuga.net/
