You know I’m a professional traveller, so I have already visited many countries all over the world, but one of my secret wishes has been fulfilled only recently, when at long last I received an invitation to Tuscany.


In common with many of my compatriots (don’t forget I’m English) I have a deep liking for Tuscany, one of the most beautiful regions of Italy, if not the most beautiful entirely.

Besides its aesthetic appeal, Tuscany has always represented for me an important part of my family’s history, since I have recently found out that some of my ancestors were actually Tuscan.


Frimpesco Betrarca, Frimpangelo Bearroti and Frimpetro Aretino...just to mention a few.

You can see their portraits above; my aunt Mrs. Violet Bear keeps the originals her attic, but, as she would say, that is another story...


ROBERTO CAPACCIOLI (please make a visit to his personal photo-galleries by clicking HERE) who lives in Arezzo, Tuscany, with his beautiful wife Paola and their two children, will be my host and guide for the duration of my long and enjoyable stay in Tuscany.
