The State of Qatar - or as it’s called by locals Dawlat Qatar - is an Arab Emirate, occupying the small Qatar Peninsula on the northeasterly coast of the much larger Arabian Peninsula.
Dawlat Qatar is bordered by Saudi Arabia to the south and besides that it’s all surrounded by the blue waters of Arabian Gulf.
The Capital city is called Doha and it’s here that your humble truly has happily sojourned during the visit to this very exotic (for me) little country, enjoying the exquisite hospitality of my host and friend John Thompson who has been working and living in Doha for many years.

I’m very grateful to John for his invitation, I have already visited many different places all over the world, so it has started being a bit difficult to get invitations to new destinations.
Maybe I’m one of the few individuals who have visited Qatar wearing constantly a fur…but you know I cannot take it off!
The climate of Qatar is dry and very hot, so I decided to visit it in winter and I really could not complain, in spite of my unnecessary fur!

I have learnt a lot of things on Qatar and I hope you’ll be interested in discovering my adventure through the photos taken by John and his lovely daughter too.
