When I could, at long last, come out from the horrible cardboard box,
I found friendly and smiling faces looking at me...
I知 happy to meet my new hostess Janet Korman, and her nice family.
They will take good care of me during my stay in Colorado
and I知 sure I値l enjoy myself.
I知 in Boulder, Colorado.
Boulder is located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, just 35 miles northwest of Denver.
Home of the University of Colorado's main campus and the National Center for Atmospheric Research,
Boulder sits 5,430 feet above sea level and is surrounded by a greenbelt of city trails and open spaces.
The Boulder Valley was first the home of Indians,
primarily the Southern Arapaho tribe who maintained a village near Haystack Mountain.
Utes, Cheyennes, Comanches, and Sioux were occasional visitors to the area.
Gold seekers established the first non-native settlement in Boulder County
on October 17, 1858 at Red Rocks near the entrance to Boulder Canyon.
