A pattern from 1928 for an apron cut on the bias from only one yard of fabric. This pattern is fun and easy to make, and a good way to use a small quantity of fabric. The first time I used a yard of fabric purchased from Reprodepot; the second time, a metre of fabric bought at Clegs. Both are cotton craft prints, which have the right texture and weight for the purpose. In practice one yard is barely enough, and having a metre of fabric - slightly more than a yard - for my second effort was more comfortable. The apron sits too low in front, but can be raised a little if you shorten the neck band by folding it over to reduce the length before cutting out. The pockets are too small to be useful, although I did not cut them bigger until making the third version, when I cut them about a centimetre bigger all around.
