Nice work. There was something that caught me about this and I think I now know what it is; you seem to have applied the texture less to your eyes (or notably your left eye anyway) allowing it to stand out more and really capture the viewer's attention. It's similar to the first image that I commented on in this gallery and makes for a very effective image.
