A shot of the Girdleness lighthouse in the Torry area of Aberdeen.
With the high tide occuring around the same time as sunrise this week, the beachfront wasn't looking too prospective for good sunrise shots, so I opted to head over to the Girdleness lighthouse in hope of a good location and I wasn't to be disappointed.
When I arrived approx. 30mins before the sunrise, the horizon was bathed in bold blood red tones but as soon as the sun broke through from the horizon, the underside of the cloud cover lit up spectacularly in bold tones of gold and orange. This shot was my favourite of the morning.
